FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is this a replacement for repairing leaks or water ingress?
No — the Mould Treatment focuses on cleaning and treating affected interior areas. Any leaks, drainage issues or moisture sources should still be repaired separately to help prevent future mould growth.
Who is the Mould Treatment for?
The Mould Treatment is designed for vehicles showing visible mould growth, damp-related contamination or persistent interior moisture issues. It’s suitable for vehicles affected by leaks, long periods of inactivity, condensation build-up or water ingress.
This service combines deep interior cleaning, sanitisation, steam treatment and extraction to improve heavily affected interiors safely and professionally.
How serious does mould need to be before treatment is recommended?
Any visible mould growth inside a vehicle should be treated as soon as possible. Even smaller affected areas can spread further if moisture remains trapped inside the cabin.
Early treatment helps reduce further contamination and interior damage.
Arrival Time & Buffer Window
We aim to arrive earlier than your scheduled appointment where possible. Due to traffic, parking and previous bookings, we work with a 30-minute buffer window and keep you informed if delays occur.
Will the mould be completely removed?
We aim to significantly improve and treat affected areas using professional cleaning, extraction and sanitisation methods. However, full mould removal cannot always be guaranteed depending on the severity of contamination and underlying moisture issues.
In some cases, mould may exist beneath carpets, behind trims, inside ventilation systems or within electrical and hard-to-access areas that cannot be fully treated during a mobile detailing service.
If moisture, leaks or damp conditions remain unresolved, mould may return over time.
Does the Mould Treatment remove odours?
Yes — deep cleaning, extraction and sanitisation help reduce damp and mould-related odours within the cabin.
Severe odours or long-term contamination may require additional treatment depending on the condition of the vehicle.
Can you work in bad weather?
Yes — most of the Interior Premium Detail can be completed in typical outdoor conditions. However, severe weather conditions may affect certain stages of the service and could require rescheduling.
Do I need to provide water or electricity?
No — we arrive fully equipped with our own water, power and professional products. You don’t need to provide anything.
How long does the Mould Treatment take?
Typically 3 – 8+ hours depending on vehicle size, contamination severity and interior condition.
More severe cases may require additional time or multiple treatment stages.
Does the Mould Treatment include extraction and steam cleaning?
Yes — fabric extraction and steam sanitisation are key parts of the treatment process. These methods help clean affected materials, reduce contamination and improve the overall interior condition.
